The PlayStation exclusive, Rise of The Ronin, has been in development for 7 years.
Team Ninja revealed some exciting information about its upcoming title on the PlayStation 5, Rise of The Ronin, including that the game has been in development since 2015 and is the most challenging title among their other projects.
Rise of The Ronin was officially revealed this morning through the State of Play event with a review of the gameplay and environment. It is an open world action RPG that focuses primarily on combat and takes place in Japan at a time of great changes during the Edo era. The 300-year history is known as Bakumatsu.
In the late nineteenth century, Japan faces the darkest and bloodiest times in its history, as it struggles with its oppressive rulers as well as deadly diseases, and in return Western influence and influence begins to permeate as the civil war between the Tokugawa shogun and anti-shogunate factions continues.
Game director Fumihiko Yasuda told the official PlayStation.Blog that they wanted to take things to the next level by trying to accurately depict the most important revolution in Japan's history. That's why there was no rush in terms of game development and it was worked on slowly and freely.
The team also hopes that the game will sell at least 5 million copies when it is released in 2024 exclusively for PlayStation 5 and PC.
We recall that the team will launch its highly anticipated game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which takes place in three dark worlds or kingdoms, and will be released sometime next year on all current and previous home platforms in addition to the PC.
